CREATING YOUR FIELD TRIP
PROGRAM
- The museum provides you with the flexibility of creating a customized field trip program that best suits your curiculum, budget and available
time.
- Our reservations agents are ready to assist you in planning your visit and are available from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
LUNCH OPTIONS
- Subs, pizza, soft drinks, juices and snacks are available at the Subway Cafe. You can pre-order lunch through the museum. Please look for the order form that will be included in your confirmation package. Orders must be placed at least seven days prior to your scheduled visit.
- Vending machines also offer snacks, ice cream, soda and water.
- The museum does not provide on site lunch storage for children who bring their lunch. Lunch containers should be stored on the bus.
EXPLORE STORE VISIT
- You can pre-order Science to Go souvenir packages from the Explore Store so that they will be waiting for you the day of your visit. Please look for the order form that will be included in your confirmation package.
- Should your bus schedule allow, students are welcome to shop in the Explore Store. Please be sure they are in small groups and accompanied by a minimum of one chaperone for every 10 students.
CHAPERONE GUIDELINES
- One chaperone is REQUIRED for every ten students in grades 1-12 and for every five students in Pre-K and Kindergarten.
- Each adult must be assigned to a specific group of children to chaperone. Adult chaperones MUST stay with their group at all times. Inadequately supervised groups or groups causing disturbances may be asked to leave without a refund.
- Lunch can be enjoyed in the atrium in a pre-assigned location. Please leave the location clean and orderly for the next group to enjoy.
- Food and beverages cannot enter the museum exhibit areas.
- Please be advised that the museum does not have space to provide storage of lunches.
- Buses must remain in the designated bus parking location with motors turned off. The driver may enter the exhibit area at no charge, but must pay the Group Rate to attend an IMAX® film.
