Home Energy Saver Workshops
For Fort Lauderdale Residents

In partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Museum of Discovery and Science will present Smart Watts Home Energy Saver workshops to educate residents about how to proactively take measures to save energy in their homes.

Residents will:

• Learn how to reduce energy bills by 30%

• Find out how to save hundreds of dollars per year

• Receive a FREE home energy savings toolkit valued at $100 (limit one per household)

• Learn about energy rebates, loans and other incentives

Workshops are limited to City of Fort Lauderdale residents (owners and renters). Upon arrival at the workshop, a driver’s license is required as proof of residence. To register by phone call 954.713.0940 or register on-line by completing the form below.

Smart Watts Residential Rebates
The Smart Watts Residential Rebate Program provides matching funds up to $1,000 to City of Fort Lauderdale homeowners who install qualifying energy savings systems in their primary homesteaded properties located in the City f Fort Lauderdale. These improvements include items such as insulation, central HVAC, ENERGY STAR® door or windows, solar water heaters, gas tankless water heaters, and solar panels. Smart Watts Small Business Rebates
We’ve designed our Smart Watts Business Rebates to help qualified small-to-midsize businesses and not-for-profit organizations implement energy efficiency measures. Rebates of up to $1,000 help to offset initial investments for establishments with annual receipts of up to $7million. The rebates can be used to install insulation, central HVAC, ENERGY STAR® door or windows, solar water heaters, gas tank less water heaters, and solar panels. Funding is available for equipment purchases only; it does not cover installation costs.
