June 4 -14, 2015 Wildlife Safari Trip to Botswana
The Museum of Discovery and Science is pleased to announce the launch of its new World Travel Program. Our first travel adventure is a wildlife safari to Botswana on June 4-14, 2015, organized by Classic Escapes, a family owned boutique travel company specializing in nature and cultural journeys around the world.
During this 10-day trip to Botswana, you’ll experience a nature adventure wrapped in luxury as you explore the Okavanago Delta, the animal kingdom’s water wilderness. Journey goers will get close to exotic wildlife, enjoy comfortable lodging, and fall asleep to night sounds of Africa.
The Museum of Discovery and Science’s auxiliary group, Friends of MODS, along with Club 2-1-1, will host “Superhero Soiree” on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 6 p.m. featuring a screening of Marvel Studios production of Avengers: Age of Ultron: An IMAX ® 3D Experience.
The price of admission to Superhero Soiree at the Museum includes access to the reception, complete with open bar and themed ‘superhero’ cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a special silent auction, DJ, raffle prizes, plus entry to the AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater! Attendees are invited to don their favorite superhero costumer (i.e. Iron Man, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, etc). Guests with the most creative costume attire will win lavish prizes. Wine, Spirits, and Culinary Celebration
This year’s event will showcase a sequence of spirits, wine or beer with food pairings, each bound to delight, educate and entertain guests and their palates. The highlights of the evening are tastings from nearly 40 of South Florida’s leading restaurants, and a vast array of wines and spirits from around the world courtesy Southern Wine and Spirits as well as craft beers.

The Museum of Discovery and Science’s Leonardo da Vinci Society presents: Sky’s the Limit, featuring world traveling, award winning, pilot Captain Barrington Irving on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
in the Keller Science Theater at Museum of Discovery and Science.
Guests will enjoy cocktails, soft drinks and hors doeuvres plus they will experience the brand new To Fly exhibit, featuring the new 7D multi-sensory capsule dome.

19TH ANNUAL BANK OF AMERICA
WINE, SPIRITS, AND CULINARY CELEBRATION
The Museum of Discovery and Science hosted 2,000 people at the 19th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits and Culinary Celebration on Friday, April 4, 2014.
This successful fundraising event showcased a sequence of wine, spirits and beer, and included culinary samples, which delighted, educated and entertained guests and their palates. The event raised over $175,000 with proceeds benefiting the Museum.

2013 Mercedes-Benz Fort Lauderdale
MAD for MODS Gala Museum President and CEO, Kim Cavendish, announced today that the MAD for MODS Gala held Saturday, November 16, 2013, raised nearly $400,000 to benefit the Museum of Discovery and Science.
The celebration was a tribute to the community’s appreciation and support for the Museum.
